My Background & Bio.

Jen Martin LLB MAaPPCP works as a Psychological Coach, facilitator and Trainer, who specialises in Vulnerability. Through her research with Irish government ministers, international business and sporting leaders - on Vulnerability and Psychological Safety - Jen is passionate about supporting her work and clients with empirical evidence.

Having transitioned from Law to Psychology, Jen's work optimises business and leadership communication, growth and change management, cultivating innovation, problem solving and performance under pressure.

In addition to her work in Ireland, Jen has spent the last decade gratefully working internationally with and empowering non-native English speaking C-suite executives, government officials, diplomats, and actors, in Europe, Russia and Asia, where she leverages her vulnerability research to optimise their communication performance, leadership and impact.

Jen is currently undertaking her PhD, and has keynoted and presented internationally on topics such as Vulnerability, and Engagement, for organisations such as "Business Leaders Malta" and the UK’s Engage for Success, as well as being a regular speaker at events with the British Association for Business Psychology.

Other areas of work and research interest include Self-Efficacy, Imposter Phenomenon, Self-Compassion, Resilience, Cognitive Flexibility and Optimal Performance.

Jen is a member of, and adheres to the ethical codes of the Psychological Society of Ireland and American Psychological Association respectively.

Formalities aside….

But of course, this is all just the professional side of things. I’m a daughter, sister, friend, Godmother to two gorgeous little girls, and the proud aunty to seven nieces and nephews. I love all things theatre, reading, writing, spirituality and meditation. I adore travel and culture, and spent the best part of my 20’s living, working and travelling in various countries, racking up 78 countries (so far!) in the process! I am happiest in a book shop, on a plane, or at home by the sea. I strive for a life that centres on moments of connection, hygge, great conversation and contentment.
