The Values which underpin my Research.
Curiosity
Bringing ideas to life.
Neil Armstrong is quoted as saying that ‘Research is creating new knowledge’. Curiosity and the desire to learn is the driving force behind knowledge acquisition, innovation and change.
Rigour
Ensuring ethics are upheld.
According to Dan Brown: ‘Google is not a synonym for research’. To ensure studies are rigorous, the values of ethics and quality underpin each stage of the research process.
Application
Putting learnings into action.
We are all familiar with the old adage ‘wisdom without application is useless.’ Similarly, research without application is knowledge lost. Research with application = potential transformation.

VULNERABILITY
I‘m currently working on my PhD on Vulnerability - the glue that makes high performing teams excel, that makes relationships stronger, and gives organisations competitive advantage. If you would like to partner with me on this research journey, please do get in touch.
Recent Research
“Psychological Impact of Covid-19 Restrictions”,
I am currently leading this piece of research exploring the psychological impact of Covid-19, in partnership with UCC, the School of Applied Psychology, Dr. Annalisa Setti, David Ryan, and Declan O'Connell. The study is concerned with the experience of ‘Lockdown’ and Covid-19 related restrictions on life in general, as a result of the Covid-19 Global Pandemic. It seeks to capture of a "psychological snapshot", by exploring the relationships between perceptions of ‘lockdown’ and levels of cognitive flexibility/adaptability, vulnerability resilience, wellbeing, psychological capital (hope, optimism, efficacy & resilience), and performance. We are grateful to both the general public for sharing their experiences of the restrictions as a result of the Pandemic, as well as the participating organisations who have engaged this research, with a view to supporting their staff with data-based solutions in 2021.
